Should i shoot 1080i or 720p
I have a couple of projects coming up this year fingers crossed that will require slomo film out tests. I'll let the list know the results. I would only suggest that the natural line-to-line temporal offset of any interlaced format will materially deteriorate the slow motion and even the full motion performance in reproducing images with vertical motion content.
Progressive formats contain no such temporal defects, hence provide better slow and full motion temporal characteristics i.

I'm not ready to say what the obvious choice is until I have seen results from both. I know there are post guys on this list that have seen Sony slomo results.
The data rates are just too high for it to be viable with any commonly available equipment at a reasonable price. Next question is then likely to be "so which is best"?
And the answer is unfortunately "it depends". Either way, best to shoot at the desired final format and avoid conversions if possible. November 16th, , PM Ollie James.

If you look in the "News" section, Sony are due to make an announcement at a Press Conference then. May turn out to be more suited to your needs than a Z5, whilst still being affordable! Assuming it is a camera! November 16th, , PM Shaun Roemich.
November 17th, , PM David Heath. If you reread the original post, it deliberately splits the main attributes of an HD format into the three main parts, so in that context talking about frame resolution means exactly that - the number of pixels in each frame.
No more, no less. And in that respect, a raster has pretty well twice as many pixels as a raster on a per frame basis. Framerate and interlace then become the other two main attributes.
In reality it's more complicated than you infer, owing to the necessity to avoid interline twitter. Scanning a chip for interlace means that lines have to be summed, but differently for different fields.
This reduces twitter, but also reduces vertical resolution compared to progressive scanning. It's important to consider the three attributes separately. Too often, and interlace are just spoken of in the same breath, same with and progressive. November 18th, , PM David Heath. These capable cameras should be solid and well-built, have both speed and focus for capturing fast action and offer professional-level image quality.
Although a lot of people only upload images to Instagram from their smartphones, the app is much more than just a mobile photography platform. In this guide we've chosen a selection of cameras that make it easy to shoot compelling lifestyle images, ideal for sharing on social media. If you're looking for the perfect drone for yourself, or to gift someone special, we've gone through all of the options and selected our favorites.
We looked at cameras with selfie-friendly screens, wide-angle lenses, microphone inputs and great video quality, and selected the best. Submit a News Tip! Reading mode: Light Dark. Login Register. Note that conversion between i and p is possible, but not exact and often introduces artifacts, particularly when high speed motion of the subject is involved. Also, since the overall resolution of i is higher, one will either lose some "real video information" or have to interpolate and "create more information without more video detail".
Common HD viewing devices can limit you as well - for example, a display with a native WXGA x will not display a i video in full resolution but downconvert and possibly create more artifacts to reduce the i's x to x
