What do people do at trevi fountain




















Awesome Ariel! The Trevi Fountain just finished a huge restoration project, so it will look all shiny and new when you visit again. I would like to see the actual removal of the coins, just out of curiosity.

Do you know when does this happens and if the public is allowed to watch? Thank you! The coins are now collected three times a week. The fountain is closed off to the public on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8am — 9am when the ACEA team extracts coins in the fountain using a rake and a wet-vac.

This caused water that fell from the fountain to be red as well, since it uses a closed circuit water system. While there was a fear that the liquid would have permanently damaged the monument, the water was drained fast enough that there was no damage, only a crowd of very surprised tourists!

Stuck my legs in it; it was so nice and cool. And then two cops blew their whistles and I hopped out and with my family we were chased half a block. We will travel to rome and see trevi fountain in october this year, but want to a dancing photo shoot at the fountain……hoping to do this at 5am and hoping nobody will be around so I get great pictures.
