Kindred Organic Australian White Quinoa is proudly grown and packed on the Daman family farm on the northwest coast of Tasmania. Quinoa is often only grown overseas, and Honest to Goodness is proud to have been one of the first suppliers of Australia's first-ever, commercially-grown organic quinoa crop!

Organic Quinoa, pronounced 'keen-wa,' is a gluten-free grain that is rich in essential amino acids, vitamins B2, E and A and contains more iron than any other grain. Quinoa is one of the only known grains that provide all the essential amino acids needed by the human body. Apart from the colour, red and white quinoa are very similar and can be used in the same recipes.

Red quinoa has a slightly more fibrous texture and is a little crunchier once cooked. It will take about the same time to cook both types of quinoa. All grains should be rinsed thoroughly under running water before cooking, and any dirt or foreign matter that has made its way to you from the farm should be removed. Store in a dry, airtight container at 25C. No GMO. Preservative and additive free. Quinoa should be rinsed in a fine strainer under cold running water until the water runs clear to remove any residual residue or dirt.

Quinoa is a great alternative to rice so use it to accompany stir-frys or meat dishes. It is also great in baking particularly cakes, muffins, porridge and salads. It is a low food miles crop, which is grown, harvested, polished and packed, all on the certified organic Daman family farm, on the North-West coast of Tasmania.

All our deliveries are tracked and require your signature. This allows you to track your parcel at any time. If you are not available at the time of delivery, a calling card will be left for you to arrange a suitable time for the item to be delivered.

Deliveries can arrive at any time during day from 7am to 6pm. We are unable to give specific delivery times. Please do not request that deliveries are made on or within a certain time, as this is not possible. If you wish, at the online checkout page, you may give authority to leave your parcel at the door or some other location.

By placing an order for perishable items, such as fresh wheatgrass, broccoli, radish etc, you automatically agree to have the items left at your front door regardless of whether there is someone available to sign for it.

Due to the nature of perishable items, please be aware that you also accept the risk this may involve. Please be aware that perishable items cannot remain outdoors for long periods of time. Please note we are only able to provide perishable items to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane metropolitan areas. If you are unsure whether we service your area, please email us. It is best if you provide us with your phone number at checkout to ensure a smooth delivery service.

You can be confident that your phone number will only be used if there is a problem with delivering your product. Please do not request that couriers call you prior to delivery as they are unable to do this. We reserve the right to request an extra remote area surcharge above the freight charges already paid if your delivery location is classified by our couriers as remote. We will contact you prior to despatch to advise you of the surcharge and to seek your confirmation or further instructions.

We also reserve the right to request an extra surcharge for deliveries to P. Box addresses that are over 5kg. Due to quarantine restrictions in Western Australia and Tasmania, we are unable to deliver perishable items to this State. Your payment information is processed securely.
