Cesky krumlov how many nights
Then about 3pm the population in the town was cut by more than half; the tourist busses had left and the town was magic. The next morning was also wonderful until the tourist busses reappeared about We left at 1pm or so, then visited another castle on the way back to Prague.
Krum we stayed at the Hotel Dvork and got the one room with a balcony that faced the castle. Again, magical. Ohhhh, your answer. One night was good. Sort of wished we had planned two nights. But all depends on your interests, the weather, etc. We are pretty laid back and look for a mood more than a bunch of things to check off on a list. The mood when the day tourists were gone was pretty nice in Cesky Krumlov. Go here for photos of the two castles and C.
Look for the CZ and CZ2 links at the top of the page. Hi Ray - Just a 1 night stay is what I would recommend.
The town is small In our experience, it took about 4 hours to leisurely see the castle and grounds behind - 4 hours to stroll every cute street in the town center - 2 hours for a great meal in one of the restaurants by the river - and that's about it. It's not thrills like the Grand Canyon or anything, but it's just very pleasant and a great way to see rural Czech. Thank you guys. It sounds like we are on the right track with our planning so far.
There will be four of us that get along well and have about the same attention span on this trip. We all like the idea of using public transportation but to be honest, we'll probably rent a car for this outing. We're not above getting up early, but this is a vacation after all. Again, thanks. At the end of World War 2, the German residents were driven away, and the village became deserted during the Czech communist regime.

If you plan to go on hikes and road trips, and want a relaxing stay away from the crowds, stay in a pension outside the old town like Penzion Tilia. The river runs in on itself. I got goosebumps walking through its streets, its polished cobblestone steps a testament to the number of shoes that have walked those streets since the s.
I think you can best appreciate its beauty by reading about its history and the structures that have stood the test of time.
